Happy 2015!!
We have started the year off well so far!
New Years day saw an increase to the guinea pig population:
We now have 8!! Doretha has agreed to parting with the 3 oldest offspring -
To contribute to the adoption fund. :)
January 2nd gave us a new heifer calf:
(Her mother is Rose.)
As of this morning, Winter made a small attempt to be his season but half of it is melted.
We have been soaking this mild winter in.
Monty has been busy getting the sawmill ready.
It has also been SO nice not calving in really cold weather.
Our large (9) batch of calves last month had to deal with damp weather though and that's hard on cows and calves alike.
But we have been blessed, so far, with a resilient herd. :-)
We have just one to calve left this month now.
I intend to do a Christmas post yet.
I am waiting on my brothers pics to add to it.
Until then I will leave you with this:
Happy New Year!!
