There is nothing better for a man, than that he should eat and drink, and that he should make his soul enjoy good in his labor. This also I saw was from the hand of God. Ecclesiastes 2:24

Benefit Puzzle

In case you thought our fundraising was over, please brace yourself!
We had a puzzle at our supper/auction for people who donated to write their names on the back of a piece. We still need about 460 names to finish and frame our puzzle!!
Please, consider sending $10 for each piece you "buy" and we'll write your name on the back and add it to the completed part of the puzzle. The upper left is completed - the bottom portion is waiting to be added to the top. We'll post periodical progress updates on the puzzle.

Checks can be made and sent to:

THANK YOU
for being a part of bringing the pieces together!!

Adoption Fundraiser

WHEW! IT'S OVER!!!

And it's a relief! I believe I'm still suffering from some kind of jetlag after the push of the last month. My apologies for the lack of quality and generality of these pictures. My photographer copped out of his duties 5 hrs beforehand (and the person who was suppose to bring the camera in his place forgot it) so I was only able to grab a few pictures with my phone :'(  I'm sad that I didn't get pictures of all the items either - we ended up with 64. :(   I was pulled, too many, directions all evening.

Oddly enough we were struck with the worst storm and most snow we've had all year during our supper. We got at least 6" that started right "on time" Saturday evening and continued on into Sunday evening/night.  A number of people that had planned to come didn't because of it. We only had about 160 people come and about 100 of them were children. In spite of that we were still blessed to have raised  $4,200.

We prayed for direction to be shown through the outcome of our fundraiser. Our desire is to tread softly and patiently (outwardly anyway!). The Lord knows where and when He'll lead us to the child/ren He has planned for us. Oh for wisdom to know which way to go! We figured that if we had an exceptional turnout we would know we were clear to pursue working with an outside agency - particularly one we really like in GA. But, at this point, we will wait on our agency's infant program while keeping our eyes open for a young sibling group. Currently we are #6 from being in the active pool - we were at #9 a month and a half ago. Once we're in the active pool we will "be shown" to birthmothers.
Thank you to everyone that participated in one way or another! We had a wonderful variety of great auction items and the meal was also great! Without all of you - and those who have said they are sending a donation - we couldn't do this. This whole journey has been most humbling and "begging" for funds has NOT been fun. :'( But we feel so blessed by those who care!
God bless you!
