Just thought we should post an update on our adoption plans.
We DO still want to adopt!
Adoption is more than just a way to grow a family. It's a calling and it is still very much on our hearts. I suppose if we don't get matched before September we will wait a few months after the baby is here to continue pursuing anything.
Our social worker sends us potential situations and we continue to look through the state waiting lists online for young children/sibling groups in foster care.
We inquire on the few that seem to be possibilities. Children under 5 yrs aren't frequently listed online, though there are some.
Ultimately, it's the child's social worker or a committee that decides who they feel is the best match.
We are eager to see who the Lord sends our way!
